Greg is originally from Cumberland, RI and Harwich Port, MA and is a graduate of St. Paul's School (Concord, NH) and Middlebury College (Middlebury, VT). Following brief stints with secondary school development and ship chandlery sales, his insurance career began in 1981 with a mid-sized brokerage firm in NYC, Craig M. Ferguson & Co., where he became partner in 1987, shortly after moving the company with the other principals to Stamford, CT. In 1992, Greg joined Duble & O'Hearn, becoming a principal in 1995, and sole owner in 1998.
His extensive sales and account management expertise transcends both Commercial and Personal Lines. Greg is an avid and active sportsman, enjoying golf, tennis, skiing, fishing, "old man" lacrosse, adventure travel, and numerous other outdoor activities. He resides in Fairfield County with his wife, two children, and their three dogs.
Joyce is originally from Miller Place, NY, beginning her insurance career in 1974 with a large independent insurance agency in Smithtown, NY. She later moved to Connecticut in 1991, joining Duble & O'Hearn in 1995 as a Senior Commercial Account Executive.
During her many years in the insurance business, she has enjoyed a variety of positions within the independent agency network, and is currently seen by many with knowledge of the insurance business as one of the top female executives in the industry. She has a wide array of product knowledge, and highly developed technical expertise and operational capabilities. Although Joyce manages the Firm's Commercial Lines division and handles its largest accounts, her primary role is COO and Agency Manager, with responsibility for contracts, personnel, efficiency, budgeting, and solution remedy. Joyce is an integral part of the core management team of Duble & O'Hearn, and runs the Firm day-to-day.
Sharon has been with the Firm since 1979, and, as part of a staff comprising 290 years of aggregate insurance expertise between 16 people, holds the distinction of being the employee with the longest tenure at the Company, and the one most epitomizing the fine reputation for service excellence which Duble & O'Hearn enjoys with clients, insurers, and advisors. A life long resident of shoreline Connecticut, she is highly knowledgeable about coastal property insurance, and the intricacies of insuring older homes and the assets of significant, multi-state property owners.
As Manager of the Personal Lines Department, Sharon is called upon every day to solve with creativity and advisory skill the particularly challenging insurance issues faced by the Firm's high net worth clients, which comprise its principal personal lines niche. Her office management duties allow her to keep an administrative hand in all aspects of agency operations, and she is an invaluable, longtime member of the Firm's management team.
Patrick has led the Firm's personal lines production efforts since 2001, following his departure from Marsh, where he ran their Private Client Group in Greenwich for 9 years. His unique specialty and expertise is in the provision of personal lines counsel and service to affluent individual and families.
One of the keys to his success is his outstanding talent for developing strong relationships with financial advisors across many disciplines, including: financial planners, investment bankers, accountants, wealth managers, lawyers, and other professionals. Now in the insurance business for 20 years, Patrick has spoken extensively on the subject of personal property & casualty insurance to audiences at large multi-national financial institutions, as well as to smaller boutique firms and associations around the Country.
He is well-known throughout the northeast corridor for his well-developed empathy, knowledge, humor, and specific expertise in high end personal lines, and is a proven leader and mentor to many at the Firm. Patrick lives in Danbury with his wife, two children, and their new puppy.
